Another week in the life of GURPS

This week is named Victor. The news:

• I spent most of the week reviewing GURPS Martial Arts: Technical Grappling, by Doug Cole (douglascole). Once my comments are addressed, this moves into the bullpen.

• There was more behind-the-scenes movement on GURPS Zombies. I've seen the preliminary cover art and the title logo, and Steve is doing his final pass over the production PDF.

• I advised David Pulver on style issues for GURPS Vehicle Design . . . so you see, things are happening there.

What stage of production is the "bullpen" exactly? Is this pre-layout, post-layout but pre-art, or post-art? (I'm not asking for confidential details; I'm just assuming that you meant to convey something specific by "bullpen" and that I'm not understanding your intent.)

Wikipedia says "In baseball, the bullpen (or simply the pen) is the area where relief pitchers warm-up before entering a game. "

So I've learned something new, but unrelated to publishing.

I would guess "pre-production"? Possibly just "patiently waiting in line for the next step after "review" to clear up of other GURPS stuff.
