Another week in the life of GURPS

Ah, ah, ah . . . I didn't forget! I just worked late writing up comments on a manuscript, and then decided that dinner was more important than blogging. Without further ado:

• We uploaded GURPS Spaceships 3: Warships and Space Pirates, by David Pulver. You may remember David . . . he wrote a couple of other items in this vein. If you like big, shooty spacecraft, then you need this supplement!

• We reviewed the PDF of my latest GURPS Dungeon Fantasy item. It has Crazy Legs in it. It's looking good, but I have no release date on it as yet – sorry.

GURPS Hot Spots: Renaissance Florence, by Matt Riggsby ([info]wombattery), moved out of editing and into production. We should be reviewing that PDF in a little over two weeks.

• We received the final draft of GURPS Martial Arts: Gladiators – by Volker Bach and Peter Dell'Orto ([info]peterdellorto) – a little early. Yay! Soon we'll all be partying like it's, er, 99 BCE.

• We kicked off the playtest of GURPS Urban Magics, by Bill Stoddard ([info]whswhs). This supplement is about magic that's enabled by and takes place in cities. I was quite happy with the draft on my pass through it, so I'm sure the playtesters will find little to hold it up!

• I wrote up comments on the first draft of GURPS Low-Tech Companion 3: Daily Life and Economics, by Matt Riggsby ([info]wombattery) and Bill Stoddard ([info]whswhs). Soon, GURPS fans will know how much wood a woodchuck can chuck, load on a boat, turn into charcoal, and a lot of other things. Darn woodchucks.

• I wrote up my comments on the first draft of GURPS Gun Fu, by S.A. Fisher and Hans-Christian Vortisch (with an assist from me). This amounts to "the cinematic parts of GURPS Martial Arts, but with guns." How cool is that?

• And Steven ([info]waitingforgo) and I set the playtest order for the coming months. For those keeping track at home: (1) GURPS Urban Magics, (2) GURPS Spaceships 56, (3) GURPS Low-Tech and GURPS Low Tech Companion 1-3, and (4) GURPS Gun Fu. Book your time accordingly.

Those statistics will also be applicable to muskrats. [livejournal.com profile] muskrat_john, please take note.

I'm glad to get it in. I didn't realize the timing would be so tight. If I stuck to its original deadline, it would exactly overlap Low-Tech. So I needed to get it in fast!

Is GURPS Gun Fu expected to have a call for playtesters?

Quantum materiae materietur marmota monax si marmota monax materiam possit materiari?

My GURPS week: Played GURPS Bunnies & Burrows for the fourth consecutive easter special. The GM's scenario of "Hart of Darkness".

Say, is there any chance of a 4th ed B&B?
