Another week in the life of GURPS
This week saw lots of progress on the GURPS front:
• We released GURPS Action 3: Furious Fists, by y.t. This remedies what I feel was the only major hole in the GURPS Action series: its inability to emulate Chuck Norris movies. (What, you want high art?)
• We reviewed the rough PDF of GURPS Gun Fu, by S.A. Fisher, Hans-Christian Vortisch, and y.t. This looks just about good to go, and should be released sometime in September 2009. It'll let you emulate John Woo movies. I re-watched Hard Boiled this week in honor of it!
• GURPS Dungeon Fantasy: Taverns, by PK (
peekitty) and Loren Wiseman, moved from first to final draft. Yay! It's looking pretty cool, too, with rules for bar-room brawls and fantasy liquor, and descriptions of four sample establishments.
• I turned around my comments on the first draft of GURPS Dungeon Fantasy: Summoners, by Phil Masters. It's about demonologists, elementalists, necromancers, and shamans . . . plus pets. You know I'm being gleeful as I type this, right?
• We also saw forward movement on GURPS All-Star Jam: Alchemical Baroque, by Phil Masters; GURPS Spaceships 7, by David Pulver; and GURPS Urban Magics, by Bill Stoddard (
whswhs).
