Another week in the life of GURPS
This is it! The last GURPS update for 2010. What happened this week (we'll call it Alice)?
• We released Pyramid #3/26: Underwater Adventures. You can read my PR piece on it here.
• I finished checking the preview PDF of GURPS Low-Tech Companion 3: Daily Life and Economics, by Matt Riggsby (wombattery) and Bill Stoddard (
whswhs). Fans of hunting, gathering, agriculture, manufacturing, construction, and trade should be very happy come early 2011.
• Jason "PK" Levine (peekitty) turned around comments on his GURPS Powers: Divine Favor. Fans of divine smiting should be seeing lots and lots of ready-to-go holy might early in the new year.
• While he was at it, Jason "PK" Levine (peekitty) also checked rough PDFs of the first two volumes of his sekrit projekt. Things look good, so Steven (
waitingforgo) has set release dates in 2011, Year of the Chupacabra.
• And speaking of the Dark Secrets of Jason "PK" Levine (peekitty), I just reviewed the first draft of the third volume. Be warned: You go down that sewer, the gators will get you.
• Peer review of GURPS Psi-Tech, by David Pulver, is now in progress. The psychotronics aren't approved for use yet, though. Without them, my ESP isn't up to the task of hinting at a release date.
• I am now reviewing the first draft of GURPS Infinite Worlds: Worlds of Horror, by Ken Hite (princeofcairo). This is support for his upcoming GURPS Horror.
I'll probably post my next GURPS update on January 7, 2011, although I might post personal stuff here between now and then. I'll be on break from December 18, 2010 through January 2, 2011, inclusive, but I doubt that I'll be very far from the 'net. Happy holidays to all you GURPS fans!
