Another week in the life of GURPS

Where's the GURPS? Over there? Perhaps in this box? Or maybe here:

• Jason Levine and Scott Maykrantz's GURPS Creaturs of the Night 5 was uploaded this week . . . just in time for Halloween!

• Nikki is making excellent headway editing David Pulver's GURPS Abydos, and aims to have it wrapped up sometime next week.

• I'm making good progress on David Pulver's GURPS Mass Combat. I'm cleaning up the last few sections and should be turning it in next week. It's anyone's guess as to whether this or Abydos will come out first.

• Jason Levine's GURPS Psionic Powers is headed into playtest. Jason and I are working out a few final rules puzzles, but this one should see smooth sailing, I think.

• We have a first draft of a new Bill Stoddard project in hand. We were evil, and he ended up writing it ahead of the contract, so I can't give you a title for legal reasons. But it's a cool item.

• We have a first draft of something from Matt Riggsby in hand, too. Same story there, including the "cool" part.

Hey, Matt! I'll help playtest yours if you'll help playtest mine!

Deal! SMarsh can hook you up.

What? Creatures of the Night 5??? But... But... I haven't bought Action 2: Exploits yet! Where is all this non-productivity some people complain about? I'm just not seeing it. :)

You should see the "non-activity" from our side of the line.

I bought Backdrops: The Tower of Octavius and Creatures of the Night 5 just a short while ago. Action 2: Exploits must regrettably wait a while. Thanks much for all the work you and everyone else of SJG do to keep customers like me happy. Maybe some day, I'll be able to contribute material (it's been almost a decade since my first and so far only publication in the RPG industry). Until then, I'll continue being a voracious consumer. :)

(e23 Managing Editor here; hi!)

A few notes to represent some late info:

* ABYDOS has finished the editing process except for some fiddly bits; it's at the layout stage now. If the stars align right, you (Sean) might see a copy for review on Tuesday. (P.S.: As a note/reminder, Sean, there's at least one new spell added from the first-draft stage you need to review. Poke us if we don't point it out to you.)

* If we're thinking of the same book from Matt Riggsby, I'm pretty sure we have his contract in-house. (You can check the contract-tracking system for confirmation.) So if that's when you're allowed to blab, feel free! (And if there's another Riggsby document floating around I don't know about, let me know... I'm a big fan of his stuff!) :-)

To amplify what Steven said, my manuscript was in ahead of deadline, not ahead of a contract.
