Another week in the life of GURPS

This week is named Sho. He brings you this news about GURPS:

• We updated GURPS Mass Combat, by David Pulver. It now incorporates a snazzy new cover, fixes to all errata reported to date, plus some revisions that David and I worked out to better reflect how real-world support units function. If you've held off buying this item until it's had a shakedown cruise, here's your cue.

• We released Pyramid #3/22: Banestorm. I think the title says it all, but if you're not sure, I've already pimped it once here, so it would be rude to do so again!

• I reviewed the preview PDF of GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 12: Ninja, by Peter Dell'Orto ([livejournal.com profile] peterdellorto). At this stage, it's looking great and merely awaiting the Secret Ninja Blessings™ before we release it. Real ninja already have a copy, in fact.

• PK ([livejournal.com profile] peekitty) is done his edit of GURPS Tactical Shooting, by Hans-Christian Vortisch. Woohoo! It has to go through layout and deal with a couple more levels of review, but it looks like it's on target. Probably due to its awesome illuminated sights and custom grips.

• My edit of GURPS Horror, by Ken Hite ([livejournal.com profile] princeofcairo), reached the 51.7% mark by word count – and the section on zombie hordes. It would have made better progress, but I was inconvenienced by a ninja attack and an evil computer.

I got to look at a few more art layouts for GURPS Low-Tech, and had only one small suggestion for change, to make the splash panel for Chapter 5 a bit more awesome. There still seem to be a handful of pieces outstanding; I hope to see them soon! It's interesting that the whole book has acquired a running motif of "fire and light."

It seems appropriate for the era in question, really. And it sounds awesome.
