Lanterns

Once again, the lanterns are out in the evening in the Chinese Garden au Jardin botanique de Montréal. It's a wonderful sight, worth a visit if you're in the area. (The Magic of Lanterns runs from September 5 to October 31.) Unfortunately, our digital SLR needs a new battery pack, so I was stuck wielding ye olde pocket digital and my iPhone, neither of which is ideal for snapping bright objects in the darkness. One photo came out looking somewhat recognizable as lanterns:


 

If you're into water plants, note that there are also lovely lotuses nearby. Again, the camera I was using wasn't the best tool for the job, but at least you can recognize the flowers in these shots:
