26 Dec 2008 13:08Well . . . Christmas dinner went well. We had roast goose with fruit-and-nut stuffing, roasted sweet potato wedges, and caramelized fennel and onions. To drink with that, we had an Alsace Gewürztraminer (Cuvée Comtes d'Eguisheim Léon Beyer, Alsace 2000). We were both good about not pigging out. Later, though, we retired with a Green Chartreuse and some chocolates from Les Chocolats de Chloé, which we received as a gift from M. and Y.
