This was one of those weeks where most of what I did was "behind the scenes" and likely not the sort of stuff you would be reading these notes to learn about (back covers for upcoming POD releases, input on a foreign-language translation, progress on contracts, input on a survey, and administrivia related to our forums). Here's the laundry list of interesting GURPS news:
• We reviewed the rough PDF of Pyramid #3/7. The topic? Urban fantasy. The offerings? Very cool! There's a lot of good campaign inspiration here, much of it systemless. If urban fantasy is your thing, please check out this issue when we release it in a couple of weeks.
• I wrote a long-ish item related to GURPS Action for Pyramid #3/8. I don't want to steal the magazine's thunder, but I can say that the article involves things like femmes fatales and Men of Science.
• I can't name titles, but there was significant progress on a new GURPS WWII release for e23 this week. No ETA on that yet – sorry!
• I've been named editor of GURPS Low-Tech, GURPS Low-Tech Companion 1-3, and GURPS Horror. That pretty much blocks off most of my year . . . and it used up a fair bit of the week, too.
• Speaking of GURPS Low-Tech and GURPS Low-Tech Companion 1-3, we now have over 40 playtest candidates. Things are looking good for a playtest starting in around a week.
