This is the last report of 2009! I'm off work from Saturday, December 19, 2009 through Sunday, January 3, 2010, inclusive. I might well post stuff in here, but it won't be about GURPS. (More generally, don't expect GURPS feedback from me via e-mail, forums, etc. I take my time off work rather seriously.) To wrap things up:
• We released GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 8: Treasure Tables, by Matt Riggsby (
wombattery). This is a big item (64 pages), and chock-full of old-school treasure-rolling goodness. Indeed, it elevates rolling up treasures to mini-game status!
• We released Pyramid #3/14: Martial Arts, too. Somehow, a double-whammy seems appropriate this week, given this issue's subject matter.
• We reviewed the rough PDF of GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 9: Summoners, by Phil Masters. The idea of spellcasters whose raison d'être is "summoning demons" and "raising undead" fills me with some very un-holiday-like glee. Expect this early in 2010.
• I reached the 49.4% mark on my edit of GURPS Low-Tech Companion 1-3. Not quite 50% . . . oh, well. Still, I smacked down the rules for weapon customization, scaling, breakage, etc., which wasn't a small job.
• Much progress was made on various first drafts that I am not at liberty to name. These are the latest items from Ken Hite (
princeofcairo), Jason "PK" Levine (
peekitty), Scott Maykrantz, Matt Riggsby (
wombattery), and Bill Stoddard (
whswhs). The Hite item isn't GURPS Horror, and the Levine and Maykrantz items have nothing to do with GURPS Creatures of the Night, but that's all I can say right now.
Happy holidays, folks!
