I was swimming in the Caribbean . . . no, wait, that's a Pixies song. It's snowy here, and all the water is frozen. Nevertheless, GURPS work got done:
• We released a "new old" item: GURPS WWII Classic: Frozen Hell. Hm, somebody down in Austin made a funny. I need to get those Texas wimps to spend a few weeks in the Québec winter with me . . .
• We reviewed the rough PDF of Pyramid #3/15: Transhuman Space. Expect that in about two weeks.
• We received the edited draft of GURPS Spaceships 7: Strange and Alien Spacecraft, by David Pulver. David is looking over the rough PDF right now, so you won't have to wait all that long for this one, either.
• I passed the 56% mark (by page count) on my block edit of GURPS Low-Tech Companion 1-3. That isn't much progress – returning from vacation means spending a week catching up on dozens of projects – but it's better than nothing. And hey, I saw Tsar Pushka in there somewhere.
• Steven (waitingforgo ) updated the e23 Wish List and associated pages. When he asked me to review it, I sent him a lot of additional info, including a few totally new author solicitations. Those should be posted shortly, so keep an eye on that list!
• Among the more interesting bits and pieces that occupied the rest of the week, I aided Peter Dell'Orto (peterdellorto) with his latest writing project, ensured that the most recent first draft by Rev. Pee Kitty (
peekitty) got into peer review, and shepherded a new historical worldbook (well, world-PDF) into editing.
. . . and the other 20+ hours was truly administrivia. Man, I wish I was swimming in the Caribbean!
