Woah, that week flew! The latest and greatest on GURPS:
• Writers and wannabe writers take note: I finally got the new GURPS formatting guide online.
• I reviewed Matt Riggsby's GURPS Backdrops: The Tower of Octavius . . . and it's uploaded already. We're getting good at this. This PDF describes a generic wizard's tower, complete with inhabitants. Except that it doesn't feel generic -- which is a neat trick. The beautiful maps help a lot. You could pretty much drop this into any fantasy campaign.
• I reviewed Phil Masters' GURPS Thaumatology: Age of Gold. Do you like 1930s pulp? Like sorcery? Like where they meet, with mysterious dragon ladies and creepy mummy's curses? Then you'll love this PDF. It's a bit further out, but only a bit. Expect it soon.
• The GURPS Mass Combat playtest is almost done. We'll be wrapping up on September 15, and then David Pulver will be working on his final draft. I'm very happy with how this has gone.
Lows:
• Nothing, really, other than this being one of those weeks where everything needed little nudges and tweaks. But such is the way of things when you're a line developer. Despite it all, and despite it being Friday, I'm not feeling tired at all. I feel . . . like a debaser.
